We’ve used this bakery before for cookies and cupcakes, so we trusted them to make my daughter’s birthday cake. Communication was great, and the cake was ready on time. However, the cake was not structurally sound. After picking it up, I secured it in the front seat with a seatbelt and drove carefully home. I’ve transported multi-tier cakes myself before without any issues. When I brought this cake inside, the top tier had completely slid off. There were no support dowels securing the tiers together—only a cardboard disk under the top tier. That is not adequate support for a multi-tier cake, and it made the cake unstable from the start. I reached out immediately asking if there was anything I could do to fix it myself. I was told no and that this had never happened before. There was no apology offered at that time. I was not asking for a refund or making demands—I was trying to salvage the cake for my daughter’s birthday. Only after I pointed out the lack of an apology was one give
