5 star review
5/5 from Kevin Scanlan
I was reading the reviews and just have a few comments. (In re-reading this, I guess it is a bunch of comments - or at least a bunch of words - apologies in advance). We go here 6 or so times a year, give or take a few. What makes this place great is that "it is what it is." It really is that simple. Old fashioned? Yup, no doubt. Wide variety of music? Nope. Changing format or redecorating every few years to keep up with trends? Not a chance. Cash only? Yes sir! A little short on foldable money? ATM is right behind you. Is the music playlist somewhat predictable - it sure is. Different themes on different nights - not here. Texas Nite Life is different than other places here in town - no doubt about that. But, are those differences really bad things? To have a hometown bar that caters to the same loyal customers that have been going there for decades? Playing the music they want to hear, seems like a valid business model. Are they going to be the next big thing in town? Not gonna ha
