Besides the relaxing getaway, meeting awesome people, and of course the beaches, The Sugar Shack was the highlight of our trip. Rooster, Billy, and Ruben were great, along with the rest of the bar staff, who all made us feel so welcome. The service was amazing, and you could really tell that everyone genuinely cared about the people there. They always made sure everyone was comfortable, having a good time, and well taken care of. ❤️ The Sugar Shack will always be such a sweet memory for us. Thank you for your kindness, hospitality, and for adding so much to our overall experience. We can’t wait to come back!

8/23/2025: Great bar! Great 80's band playing in the patio patio area. Big space. Pools tables, TVs, several bar stations, fans to keep you cool, multiple restrooms, and GREAT prices! The front "porch" area before walking into this bar is very unassuming. I didn't expect to have such a great time and thought it was going to be more basic bar-ish. I had THE BEST time at this place. I see why people go here. It is a locals place, but out of towners were very welcomed too. Great service for sure. We were very impressed. There's a hot dog cart outside, so no excuse to be hungry. They were delicious! I seriously cannot remember the last time a bar checked all my boxes. Cost, clean, fun, crowd, great tunes, TVs to check out my Astros, and food upon leaving. Check this place out!

It's just a "Hole-In- The-Wall". kind of place. It's not too roomie. The drinks are good, and the prices are just as good. They have a pair of pool tables, be patient, again, there is not much room in there. The barebacks are not courteous, they don't care if you are playing pool, getting in the way continuously. Bartender took my drink order, went and took a bite of food before making my drink. Not sure if they even sell food, I didn't ask. Didn't see anybody else with food either.

What a great bar! I went during Oysterfest and they were great despite the overwhelming crowd. There was no uniform line and yet I didn't have to squeeze my way in- the bartender was good at pointing out me out. She was even patient enough to answer if they had the ingredients for the mix drink I wanted. We also thought they might skimp on the mixed drinks due to the crowd yet they didn't! Not sure if it's the norm, but they even put out a water cooler in the sitting area and were consistent with refilling it. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area. Thank you so much for waiting on us!

Fast drink service and plenty of room for a group. Came out with some friends for a birthday and the band was great. Great seating options outside with plenty of standing room as well. Indoors was a bit loud but the bar service was exceptional.
